A round table organized by the Diplomatic Institute between a delegation from the British Royal College, and academics from Qatar University and Qatari diplomats, discussed the Gulf crisis following the blockade imposed by three Gulf countries and Egypt on Qatar since last June. The speakers reviewed the expected scenarios as the blockade continued; either to escalate or seeing an end.

Ambassador Otsuka: trade balance between Qatar and Japan is QAR 35 billion. “The Japanese-Qatari relations are deeply rooted and date back to early seventies of the last century; especially in 1972, and develops from year to year”.

HE Dr. Ahmed Hassan Al Hammadi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, sponsored a graduation batch of foreign diplomats who participated in the special training program organized by the Diplomatic Institute.

The Diplomatic Institute / Ministry of Foreign Affairs celebrated the graduation of the second batch of the intensive training program that assigned for the high-profile posts at the Ministry. HE Mrs. Nadia Ahmed Al Shaibi, Director of the Diplomatic Institute and HE Abdul Aziz Abdul Qader Al Ahmad, Head of Human Resources Department, attended the celebration.
