Excellence Program

    

Program Overview

A comprehensive and high-quality program dedicated to preparing and developing outstanding diplomatic cadres and building advanced capacities in political, diplomatic, and leadership fields. It includes specialized training tracks aimed at enhancing institutional readiness and developing diplomatic leaders capable of effectively addressing contemporary challenges. The program serves as an advanced developmental framework targeting leadership preparation, specialized capacity building, and supporting pathways of professional excellence within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

 

Target Group

Distinguished diplomats from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs who demonstrate competence and readiness for advanced professional development.

 

Program Objective

To build a pool of distinguished Qatari diplomatic talents and enhance professional and leadership capacities, supporting the State’s foreign policy and ensuring sustainable institutional excellence.

 

Program Duration

The duration of the “Excellence” program tracks varies depending on the nature and level of each track, ranging from two weeks to six months.

 

Excellence Program Tracks

 

Qudurat Capabilities Program

An advanced training track focused on building crisis management capacities and enhancing the readiness of diplomatic cadres to respond to non-routine situations. It develops skills in planning, decision-making, risk management, and crisis communication, supported by practical simulation-based training on potential political and diplomatic scenarios, thereby strengthening effective institutional response in complex contexts.

 

Qudurat (1)

A foundational track aimed at equipping distinguished diplomats with essential knowledge and skills in crisis management and building initial readiness to handle non-routine scenarios through practical training and simulation. Delivered over six months.

 

Qudurat (2)

An advanced track focused on deepening analytical and strategic capacities, developing policy paper writing and scenario analysis skills. It targets qualified diplomats who have completed “Capabilities (1)” or its equivalent. Delivered over two weeks.

 

RUSI Program

A specialized training track implemented in cooperation with the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), focusing on strengthening diplomats’ analytical and strategic capacities and developing skills in policy paper preparation and scenario analysis to support decision-making in political and diplomatic matters.

 

RUSI (1)

A track focused on qualifying distinguished diplomats and enhancing their knowledge and professional capabilities in diplomatic, political, and strategic fields through specialized lectures, workshops, and case studies. Delivered intensively over five weeks.

 

RUSI (2)

An advanced track aimed at deepening analytical diplomatic skills, with a focus on methodologies for preparing position papers, writing studies, analyzing potential scenarios, and developing the ability to provide objective assessments on political and diplomatic issues. It targets diplomats who have completed “RUSI (1)” or its equivalent. Delivered intensively over two weeks.
