Held on 31 March 2016, it was addressed by H.E Mr. Arken Imirbaki, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and President of China- Arab Friendship Association (CAFA), and H.E Ambassador Dr. Hassan bin Ibrahim Al Mohannadi, director of the Diplomatic Institute (DI). Mr. Arken Imirbaki said, when he was speaking about the relations between the two countries, it made a big leap in recent years, through intensification of visits and trade exchange, and the interest of the leaders in Qatar and China of the subject. The Chinese guest assured that the visit of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to Beijing in 2014 gave a big boost to the relations and transfer it to the stage of strategic partnership.  The director of the DI talk about the importance of the public relations, and he pointed at the outset of his speech that adopting the successful diplomatic strategy between the two countries is a pressing matter of the day to develop and upgrade relations. He said that the Qatar-china relations are relatively modern, they were established in 1988. Then followed by a series of visits between officials, and conventions were held.
