Span-Qatar relations

Held on 17 May 2016, and addressed by H.E. Mr. Ignacio Escobar, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to the State of Qatar, saying "there is a history and common culture over the centuries, between the Arab and Spanish," and he added: "If that period ( he means, control of Islam in Andalusia) it was an example era, where it showed the possibility of coexistence between the Christians and Muslims and Jews in one country and contribute together in prosperity. H.E the ambassador Span point out that his country established diplomatic relations with the State of Qatar in 1972, and he said that the trade volume with Qatar is about one billion euros, and there is a Spanish school in Doha, and the participation of the Spaniards in a variety of fields to prepare for the 2022 world Cup, such as architects, doctors, health workers and trainers.
