Iraqi Foreign Minister lectured at the Diplomatic Institute about the blockade of Qatar and Baghdad's experience in terrorism

The Diplomatic Institute organized a seminar in which H.E. Dr. Ibrahim al-Jaafari, the Foreign Minister of Iraq who gave a lecture, and it was attended by H.E. Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a number of diplomats and directors.
At the beginning of the seminar, H.E. Mrs. Nadia Al Shaibi, Assistant Director of the Diplomatic Institute, said: "We are delighted to host Dr. Jaafari at the Institute to talk about Iraq's experience in combating terrorism, and Iraq's position on the Gulf crisis. "We have followed what Iraq has achieved in fighting terrorism and pushing back ISIS away from Iraqi cities and borders, she added.
"During the press conference with His Excellency the Foreign Minister, we listened to the position of Iraq, which rejects the blockade on any country and its call to resolve the dispute through dialogue, this is what the position of the State of Qatar calls for", H.E. Al-Shaibi said.
Iraq's recent rapprochement with most of the Arab countries and having relations a number of them, and in light of the prevailing circumstances in the region, all these factors require highlighting the political strife and the role of Iraq, H.E. Al-Shaibi added.
Dr. Al-Jaafari presented an overview of Iraq's suffering from terrorism and then talked about the blockade crisis of Qatar, noting: the Gulf crisis was dim at some point, before it surfaced, noting that "the new Iraq does not differentiate between state and another, and makes the utmost efforts to be a factor for the establishment of political and economic security between brothers.
" we will confront any move seeks imposing a blockade on an Arab country, and try to resolving it, and what brings Arab countries together more than of what it divide them, we will stand with any country that is oppressed, because we suffered the blockade and we know what does it mean " H.E. said.
H.E. pointed out that " Iraq's diplomacy aims at developing relations, establish others on the basis of common interests and mitigate conflicts in the region, noting that the Arab region is engulfed with conflicts, and we are in dire need to resolve these crises through diplomatic means".
