The Diplomatic Institute organized a visit for the diplomats participating in the second constituent program to the German Technology History Exhibition that held at the Islamic Museum Hall on the occasion of the German-Qatari Cultural Year. The delegation was briefed on the contents of the exhibition, which included various German industries of clothing, automobiles and electronics.
Mrs. Nadia Al-Shaibi, the Acting Director of the Diplomatic Institute, praised the German exhibition as it provides a microcosm of German culture. It is the first exhibition of its kind that was held in the Arab and Gulf countries.
Mrs. Al-Shaibai added: it was a good gesture by His Excellency the German Ambassador to invite the Institute and a number of Qatari diplomats to attend the exhibition.

The Delegation of Civilizations Fellowship visits the Diplomatic Institute
His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received the delegation of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, during its visit to the country. HE the Secretary General confirmed to the youth delegation, which included 12 international youth leaders that the State of Qatar is concerned with the development of the Alliance of Civilizations, and has put a plan for the Alliance of Civilizations for 2014-2016, and is in the process of developing a new one for 2017-2022. HE also referred to Qatar's hosting of the Fourth Global Forum of the Alliance of Civilizations in November 2017.
HE briefed the delegation on the Gulf crisis, noting Qatar's position that the dispute should be settled at the negotiating table.
The Delegation thanked the HE the Secretary-General for his warm reception and for facilitating the mission of the delegation in his visit to the State, and for the role of Qatar in supporting the Alliance of Civilizations, as well.
The delegation visited the Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was received by HE Mrs. Nadia Al-Shaibi, Assistant Director of the Institute. She welcomed the delegation and expressed thanks for the visit to the Institute and extended her thanks to the organizers of this visit, Dr. Nozad Al-Hiti and Mr. Abdullah Al-Sada.
Mrs. Shaibi briefed the delegation on the activities of the Institute and explained that the Diplomatic Institute qualify the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to work in the diplomatic and consular services.
