A seminar organized by the Diplomatic Institute on Qatari-Hungarian relations

The Diplomatic Institute held a seminar on Qatari-Hungarian relations, in which H.E. Mr. Fodor Barnbas, Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary to the State spoke, and was attended by H.E. Mrs. Nadia Ahmed Al Shaibi, Assistant Director of the Diplomatic Institute, and a number of Qatari diplomats.
The Hungarian Ambassador expressed thanks to the Institute's management for the opportunity to discuss the relations between Doha and Budapest. H.E. said that Hungarian-Qatari relation was established in 1990 and opening embassies in both countries contributed to the introduction of the investment opportunities in each country, adding that the secure conditions in Hungary will contribute to the maintenance of Qatari capital.
H.E. pointed out that both countries, Qatar and Hungary work at expanding the rules of trade and scientific research, expressing his gratitude to the State of Qatar for granting visas to Hungarian citizens upon arrival at airport, and underlining the trade balance between the two countries as mounted one billion Qatari riyals in 2017.
"We are focusing on economic relations at the moment and my country has supported the Qatari position in resolving the Gulf dispute through dialogue, we have sought a diplomatic solution and we always called for parties to pursue dialogue”, H.E. said.
