The Diplomatic Institute, in collaboration with the Institute of International Relations of Turkmenistan, organized a virtual roundtable titled "Dialogue as the Foundation of Sustainable Peace." This event was held in celebration of the "International Year of Peace and Trust 2025," announced by the United Nations General Assembly following an initiative from Turkmenistan.
This roundtable was part of the joint activities aimed at activating the Memorandum of Understanding between the Diplomatic Institute and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The virtual format allowed experts and specialists in diplomacy from around the world to participate in discussions and exchange views on the importance of dialogue as a primary tool for achieving sustainable peace and building trust among nations.
His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Mohammed Al-Horr, Director of the Diplomatic Institute, delivered the opening speech, emphasizing the role of effective dialogue in strengthening international relations and creating an environment of sustainable peace. He also highlighted the significance of such initiatives in achieving the United Nations’ vision of peace and trust in 2025 and fostering international cooperation to address global challenges.
